This cover of Dallas Observer is moody and atmospheric with the silhouette of a man wearing a Native American headdress and shadows cast across his face.

This cover is quite unique to the others on the website I was on. The cover shows how important the Native cultures of back then in America, way before people from Europe moved or found out about the Americas. This person is wearing a Cheiftan hat and showing emotion with their posture. I wish they made the figure fully black and no cutoff the photo that the top and the bottom. They should also make the "D" in Dallas more noticeable because of it barely there and it looks like it says "allas" instead of Dallas. However, the emotions that are shown in the picture can trigger a viewer to look through it, which is great. The lighting is meh on this picture, but the light spots on the chest and stomach show how well thought this picture is. (139 words)

Cover Image
1. Image-Based- This type of magazines are basically with only picture and very few words in the cover of the magazine.
2. Illustration Based- Usually, these magazine covers are illustrated and have a bit more wording than the Image-Based Magazines.
3. Type Based- These type of Cover types is rare but is mainly for typing and very little picture, or there is a lot of typing that it mainly covers up the photo or illustration.
4. Concept-Based- It's mixed with all three. It shows positivity or negativing. Sometimes it implies a strong message with the power of photoshop and with the magazine cover.
The difference between type based covers and image-based covers is that one is more focused than the other, and the reason it is important because they need to entertain people... who still use magazines.
